CueLine® ED Overview

CueLine® ED is a reading program tailored for elementary, middle, and high school special needs students.

CueLine® ED is an easy to configure and use software program that isolates and magnifies text. Text size and color, background color, number of words, lines of text, and color and location of surrounding "CueLines" are all configurable. CueLine® ED completely takes over the computer's screen to reduce visual distractions and help the student concentrate on the text.

A teacher can configure CueLine® ED to assist ADHD, dyslexic, Downe's Syndrome, low arousal, visually impaired, and other special needs students.

CueLine® ED can use the computer's built in voice to read the text on the screen to the student. Having the computer read the text helps the student learn new words and provides feedback.

CueLine® ED Versions

CueLine® ED is provided in three versions. The key differentiation between the versions is:

  • Most schools will want the Client Server Version which stores a student's preferences and bookmarks on one computer server that can be accessed from any number of client computers within the school. A single licensed copy of the Client Server Version may be installed on an unlimited number of client computers within one school.
  • For schools without a computer server or with restricted access to a computer server the Multiple Users Version installs on a single computer for use by any number of students. Each student's preferences and bookmarks are stored directly on this single computer. A single licensed copy of the Multiple Users Version may be installed on only one computer.
  • The Single User Version is for an individual student to use on a personal laptop or home desktop computer. A single licensed copy of the Single User Version may be installed on only one computer.

A trial form of each of the above versions can be downloaded here. The trial version is limited to 60 days use and only displays the first five paragraphs of text.
